A weekend of family-friendly competition, entertainment, and delicious frontier food awaits during the annual Pigeon Forge Chuck Wagon Cookoff Competition.

Teams will circle their wagons at Clabough’s Campground in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for a day of frontier-inspired fun. Visitors can see the cowboys cook just as the early American chuck wagons did in the 1800s, relying on simple ingredients and cooking without modern conveniences like running water and electricity.

The cowboy cooks are judged and awarded based on food categories, including meat, potatoes, bread, beans and dessert, as well as the historical accuracy of their chuck wagons. The Chuck Wagon Cookoff helps in the preservation of cattle drive trail days and offers a great opportunity for visitors and locals alike to learn about America’s history.

Refunds will be honored if requested more than 15 days from the event date printed on the face of the ticket. Refunds will be provided in the original form of payment to the original ticket purchaser. Tickets purchased via a third party are not honored by the Pigeon Forge Dept. of Tourism (sponsor). Refunds are not honored 14 days or less in advance of the event date printed on the face of the ticket. The $5 processing fee is non-refundable.

All special events sponsored by the Pigeon Forge Dept. of Tourism, the Sponsor, are subject to cancellation without notice at the sole discretion of the Sponsor for any reason. In the event the Dept. of Tourism elects to cancel an event for any reason, the face value of the ticket will be refunded in the original form of payment to the original ticket purchaser.
